So there we were T-24 hours before moving the sim having organised somewhere to put it, a driver to drive it and Gary had prepared to travel 240 miles up north to help load it on the trailer... things started to go wrong from there!
We got a phone call saying that the unit we were going to rent was no longer available.
Gary and Nigel went into blind panic phoning round anywhere in the south of the UK to find somewhere to put the sim but after endless phone calls all hope was fading.
Eventually Gary got hold of Colin who owns a small Nursery in Lightwater who said he had a small barn available, but even this was too small to fit the sim in the door.
Luckily Colin agreed to let us use his bigger barn which he would move out of over time to give us full use of this HUGE area for our sims..
A plan was hatched to meet Al who owns a car recovery firm up in blackburn at lunchtime after confirming the barn was suitable...
